Winter Light Festival

A Celebration of the Seasons

The Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden offers you an unforgettable cultural experience, combining the beauty of nature in a serene setting.

Now add over 170,000 lights and add a Masturi (Festival) feel to the Garden with our Winter Light Festival. Step through the entrance gate, leave the bustle of everyday city life behind, and refresh your senses. A host or hostess will greet you and highlight the Garden’s many features.

Our most popular event of the year! The famous annual Winter Light Festival runs from December until the end of February where there were over 30,000 guests in attendance.

This year we decided to do something new! We will transform the Garden to present all four seasons. Haru (Spring), Natsu (Summer), Aki (Fall), and Fuyu (Winter). For each season we offer unique visual attractions and engaging elements.

Help us continue the awareness of the Garden landscape and be inspired by the beauty of our diverse community.

Wow your guests with an exclusive event in the garden and create unforgettable memories.
Nikka Yuko has several gathering options available with exclusive and non-exclusive packages.

Book your private event for staff, clients, or family and friends this season at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden!

See our event calendar for ongoing and different cultural events, performances and demonstrations. Celebrate the Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko and Experience the Friendship!

Always a delight to visit the gardens. This year we took part in a Sake Tasting (highly recommend) and enjoyed the festival of lights. There's a great gift shop on site.

The winter festival is a nice way to spend 30 minutes of your time. Beautiful lights. If you purchase your tickets at the door you get a cookie and hot chocolate included with your admission price. That is not the same as the online price. It would be nice though if they added a few more places with a little more fires and it would also be nice if you could a full poop. But otherwise a nice little place.

A good place to visit a light show with family and friends as a relaxed night out. Don't expect big and fancy things. They do provide complimentary drinks and cookies :)
