Experience Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden like a local with our Yukata Dressing Package.

Yukatas are light, casual summer kimono-style garments. Today, they are commonly worn by locals and visitors alike during summer festivals and cultural celebrations. Made from breathable cotton and secured with an obi (belt), yukatas are available for all genders. The look is best completed with flat sandals similar to flip-flops—guests are encouraged to bring their own, as footwear rental is not included.

Yukata dressing ($30) is available during the summer season with online reservations, as well as limited drop-in availability if space permits. This experience is offered in addition to general garden admission. For those who prefer more casual dressing, Happi Jackets are available for rent ($10).

Guests are expected to return their yukata by the program end time listed above. There is an option to wear the yukata outside the garden premises with a refundable $100 deposit (cash or debit) per person. The last yukata dressing appointment is one hour before the program end time.

What to Bring:

Bring your own beach sandal or sandals 🩴

Bring  lighter clothes (tank top /thin sleeved tops and yoga pants or shorts to wear underneath)
