Ochakai (Casual Tea) Service

No reservations required—walk-in only. Seating is limited, but guests are welcome to stand and watch from the back.

Enjoy a short demonstration of Japanese tea service, including a brief introduction to the history and cultural significance of tea ceremony practices in Japan.

Location:
Outdoors near the wishing well, or inside the pavilion during inclement weather.

This program is included with general admission (no additional fee).

Tea Options:

• Matcha Tea – high caffeine; powdered green tea from Japan
• Hojicha Tea – moderate caffeine; powdered roasted green tea from Japan

For children (15 and under), we recommend informing staff if you prefer hojicha or a substitute such as Matcha Hot Chocolate or Regular Hojicha Hot Chocolate, due to the higher caffeine content in matcha.

Sweet:

• Konpeito – gluten-free, colorful sugar candies served alongside the tea
