Origami Workshop

Join us on Labour Day (September 4) at 10:00 AM for our second Origami Workshop! Instructors Laurie and Lev Zienchuk will show how to fold paper cranes and discover the beautiful story of Sadako, the girl who inspired the Thousand Paper Cranes movement. Participants will be guided through the art of origami and learn to fold their own pieces of Japanese culture! The lesson is approximately 1.5 hours long and is recommended for ages 10+. The class will be held in the Bunka Centre building.
Tickets include the workshop, origami paper, drink, cookie and admission into the garden afterwards. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase the book “The Complete Story of Sadako Sasaki and the Thousand Paper Cranes” in our gift shop. Seats are limited, so reserve your spot soon!
