Tai Chi - Yang Style Short Form

Enjoy the beautiful Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens with Gerard as you learn yang style short form Tai Chi.

This class consists of slow continuous, soft and circular movements in a flowing form. You’ll perform a series ofpostures or movements in a slow, graceful manner. Each posture flows into the next without pausing. All levels welcome. Tai Chi is a form of self-healing within Traditional Chinese Medicine for your health and vitality represented as “chi” or “qi”, your lifeforce.

A sophisticated form of movement therapy and martial art, you will learn how to use the basic principles of Tai Chi: Breath, Concentration, Balance, Coordination and Relaxation by using slow, gentle, beautiful movements. Your entire body is activated internally and externally enhancing a relaxed mental attitude, building good health, mindfulness, brain fitness, neuromuscular and resistance training.

Tai Chi classes are offered every Saturday from July 3 to September 25 from 9-10AM. This is an outdoor only class, so please come prepared for the weather.

Participants can purchase a season pass through the Canadian Yoga Institute for $160/13 classes or pay a drop-in fee of $15.75/class.
