Midnight Channel
Come to Nikka Yuko to see Midnight Channel perform every Thursday at 7:00pm in the Bunka Centre during the Winter Light Festival. They will switch to Sunday performances in February.
The Midnight Channel is a Lethbridge based Jazz
collective founded by a couple of friends who met in the University of
Lethbridge music program. Inspired by the free jazz movements of the past, the
group strives to find the perfect balance between structured songs and free
improvisation. Originally taking residence at the Nikka Yuko Japnese gardens as
a mere hangout, the group slowly began to establish itself to the point where
they could perform regularly together. They are currently working on a studio
album and collaborations with other local artists.
