Sumo Experience

Step into the dohyo (sumo ring) and prepare to face off against a worthy opponent. Experience the thrill and excitement of sumo wrestling at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden with this private event, great for birthdays, family gatherings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or staff retreats. Our hosts/hostesses will teach you the art, rules, and etiquette of sumo wrestling before you and your guests take your sumo skills to the garden dohyo and challenge your friends to a sumo suit battle! Real sumo matches will be played on our big screen if you need inspiration before your match!

Experience Time: 2 hours
Cost: $30/person (GST included)

• Minimum 20 people to a maximum of 30 people per booking
• Includes private room rental, sumo suits (youth and adult sizes available), cash bar, rice crackers, and sumo matches on the big screen
• Japanese beer and sake available in cash bar
• A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to book this experience
• Credit card can be taken over the phone - credit/cash/debit all accepted
• Add a Bento Box dinner for $30/person, menu to be discussed at time of booking
• Outside catering allowed by approved caterers only
