Opening Weekend - Lethbridge Community Taiko Assoication
Sunday, May 06, 2018
Time(s): 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Join us at Nikka Yuko
Japanese Garden as we open the gates for the 2018 season. The beauty and
splendor of spring lasts only a moment, so be sure to visit while the apple
trees are flowering and peonies are in bloom.
Guided tours will be offered at 10am, 2pm and 4pm.
At 1:00pm, the Garden's master storyteller Tada Matsui will be sharing some
traditional Japanese folk stories and he will be joined by the Garden’s
maneki-neko (lucky greeting cat), Tomo the Cat.
During the afternoon, take part in the Garden’s yukata dressing program.
Try on the Garden’s incredible collection of yukata, kimono or happi jackets.
This program is ideal for taking beautiful photos around the Garden.
The Garden is thrilled to be hosting the Lethbridge Community
Taiko Association for an afternoon drumming performance. Feel the thunder of this dynamic and energetic blend of martial arts and drumming.
